Hi
Ok so I had a 330 Coupe and at the time I thought a K&N CAI was the way forward, what a noise etc worked great, then the problems started, misfires, MAF problems, 02 sensors, you name it.
So this time with the Z4 3.0 I am staying with good old paper, whats the point in a few months of performance only to find it screws every sensor you have..
Anyway seeing as BMW seemed to have ringed as much out of the M54 as possible, is a better and more practical way to stick with good maintenance?, eg
Always Super unleaded, take your pick which brand
Always BMW spec oil, replacing more regularly
Tyre pressures, tracking etc
For the sake of Paper air filter costs swap more regularly etc
Diff + gearbox oil change
Short throw shift
Decent quality tyres
In the real world is this a more practical way of getting better bang for your buck without endless issues?, for the sake of the cost difference
Cheers
Al
