Ok .. just a general interest post for this brand of exhaust

Thoughts ?

I don't see the point on a 35iS as the 'standard' sports exhaust sounds awesome.

Yep .. totally agree SO8 ... just thought a good way of getting chrome tail trims

But in reality from a expense point of view is way to expensive just to get rid of the mat silver exhaust trims ... but agree the standard exhaust on the 35is is more then adequate

I'm sure there are other ways of adding polished tips - machine monkey and his magic lathe????

It looks a nice system , but I cant justify the cost of it , typical pricing because of the BMW badge

You look at other systems for example for the 350/370z i.e ARK and the exhausts are complete works of art for 2/3 of the money

If someone offered a system for £700 - £800 I think there would be more people fitting them

As a production brand they're good quality everything fits just so, etc. they also actually do development to give across the rpm rage performance gain (unlike some who just use larger diameter pipes on and then report see bigger peek numbers on the rolling road ignoring the fact they've introduced a dead spot in the little of the rev range) but you do pay for this. However, on the iS really the only performance gains you see are from the cat removal pipes & to a lesser extent the token cat to get through the MOT visual check.

If you're wanting something to look different then go down to your local custom exhaust place and get them to remove the old tips and replace them with something else. Cheaper & same performance gains - nothing.

Cheap bespoke of aftermarket exhausts often not because they use the cheapest, lowest quality staleness they can get their hands on. They just want to say 'stainless steel' because everyone knows stainless is better. What most people don't know is that OE exhausts are already reasonable quality stainless steel. The more reputable brands will last as long or longer than OE exhausts.

I actually don't think it sounds as good as OEM.

If you want tips and keep it OEM just put on the X6 tips like I did - although it was a hell of a game

Hello .. X6 tips would be great just need to find someone who can do this that I can trust

Machine monkey  perhaps .. could you do this ?

Anyone good with metal work would manage, they need to grind off the old tips, put these on, but before they can do that they need to bend out the old smaller pipe on the lip. Not many people realise this but the right exhaust on the 35iS is totally different to the left, in diameter and size- it's a lot harder to get the right tip to work properly, even now I think mine needs adjusting (bolted on, not welded in the end). But it's worth it and alot cheaper
