Performance Brake Discs

I will soon be changing my 18" 293 style wheels for 18" 295 these are more open and give a clear view to the discs and calipers. I thought that I might upgrade the discs to performance type and keep the existing calipers. But as opposed to E85/6 it doesn't seem that easy on a E89. I have been in contact with Mtec who seem confused as to what will fit, Black Diamond don't offer for E 89. Tarox can offer but only for the front. I do not want to go for BBK kits due to cost and to be honest I do not need that braking power ( even though they look great).

So has any body found performance discs front and back for E 89. Would be glad to here.

Yes its an option but not sure if my existing calipers would suit and if they did I guess they would need new mounting brackets due to increased disc dia ,but if I get nowhere on new discs at my dia its worth a look thanks.

The front disks and calipers on a 35is seem huge. Would they be worth looking in to?

This Baza, calipers and discs on my 35is do justice to the 19inch rims. The sticking point would be the hubs as they have the mounting lugs for the calipers, however I would very much doubt that the hubs are different accross the E89 range, if this is so then 35is calipers and discs should fit straight on using your existing hoses. Just check the hubs are the same and you're good to go.

Thanks this is an area I will investigate I guess the people to talk to are the dreaded BMW garages. Unless I can find a Indy with this knowledge.

Hi,

I am aware of an Guy in the USA who has done excessive work on his Z4

Performance - Braking:
E9x BMW Performance Brakes (front)
Z4 35is Brakes (rear)
Dimpled & Slotted Rotors from brakeperformance.com
Endless RF-650 brake fluid
Rogue Engineering Stainless Steel Brake Hoses
Carbon Fiber Ducted Rotor Backing Plates (front)
Custom brake ducts to front lower bumper vents

Having looked into putting 35is discs and callipers on my 3.0i I am reliably informed (BMW source) that the hubs are not the same. so back to the drawing board. It would seem the only source for drilled and grooved performance discs for the E89 3.0 and pads to suit is the US . So more website work.
