I love the 'hard driving' from the lights stuff - especially against minor cars such as Corsa's, Minis, etc. hilarious.Mr Whippy said:I had a bit of a play with a Corsa VXR from 0-50mph-40mph (was a 40mph zone haha)... (not racing, was driving hard off the line at each set of lights, last set was a white van, just so happened this set had a VXR waiting)
The Corsa was no slower really, but to make the Z4 dip under 6s needs you to properly launch with some wheel spinnage, and I wasn't doing that, just rolling it off the line and going WOT...
BUT, I was in a Z4, with nice low position, quality noise, lovely view over the long bonnet etc... they were in what is essentially a Corsa. Yes it's quick, but that isn't why I bought the Z4. Any car is quick with power, and if you want a car to just make everything look slow a breathed on Evo IX seems to be the easiest and cheapest route to that goal
Of course, more power is always good, I didn't want something slower than the 3.0i because it just doesn't go with the style of the car imo, and I like a bit of poke, but the 3.0i has a nice amount. 100mph rolled off the line in about 15s isn't shabby at all.
But purely from a delivery point of view, the top-end could just sparkle a bit more in the 3.0i. Even if it were no faster, it could just feel more eager to rev to it's limiter... hopefully some cat optimising and exhaust flow improvements will sort that out for me

Mines a 2.2, no 'M' on my body im afraid, but i will 'race' any man/ women / child... through corners, lights etc, (obviously i take great care and obey the limit at all times)
The Z4 is an animal, and normally it 'beats' whatever it takes on. (i have a few mods such as big csls, conti's all round, eibach's, k&n etc) and its just enough to go-kart me around bends faster than all these silly little cars... and when i don't 'win' i remember how good the car looks from the outside! AWESOME!
god bless us all in our Z4's.
