Fit some mudflaps from new which will help

First thing I got the dealer to do before pickup.

Hi Tim, my dealer told me you couldn't fit mud flaps to the E89 M-sport so we didn't pursue this - did you have any issues getting them fitted, were any modifications required?

Hi Sizzle,

Non whatsoever :) I bought the mudflaps from BMW Direct off e-bay with the plan to fit myself, in the end I just gave them to the dealer and asked nicely if they would fit them at the PDI which they did without charging me. I'm sure it didn't mention anywhere not suitable for the M Sport. Anyways they fit on the Zed fine.

I know on the E87 (1 Series) M Sport the fronts fit but not the rears but it mentioned this when I ordered the fronts off e-bay and looked at the rears.

The E89 mudflaps for some reason are ridiculously expensive :( I think I paid £124 for the set :o but as I didn't pay to have them fitted was happy and they really do stop stones that are flicked up by the cars wheels, especially at the rear with them being wider. I know people put a downer on them but I wouldn't have any car without them.

Thank you for the above info Tim, will definitely look into this. Had them on my past BMW 's and it was one of the questions we asked when ordering this one - dealers eh!
