Been hanging out in the bear cave today, recently got myself a bike work stand thingy so used that while removing the wheels.
Fitted new inner tubes and tyres, changing from a narrow 23mm racing tyre to a tyre more suited to a hybrid (28mm continental) that should be a slightly cushioned ride.
Cleaned the gear cassette & fitted new brake blocks while it was apart.
My Crimbo present to self should arrive any day soon :)

That was before, however it wasn't much dirtier afterwards as it was mostly frozen over

Me likey

Do the brakes fade?

How much for new discs and pads?

My last MTB I had for 8 years and I never had to change them, but I probably should've. £100 will get you a decent replacement set

I hope you got home OK - I just wouldn't risk going anywhere on something with BMC on it!
