Code it out, I think it’s in GM5.enuff_zed said:Please! How do I change to that? For my sanity.Scooba_Steve said:It is an option, if enabled there should be a continuous tone for approx 1 Sec when you engage reverse, it should then stop until you are in range and normal beeping.
Thanks. Something to add to my list of reasons to get Carly or similar...........Scooba_Steve said:Code it out, I think it’s in GM5.enuff_zed said:Please! How do I change to that? Or consider the purpose, to indicate the system is functional. Reverse, distracted, no beeps, crunch.
The notification beep is a single beep when selecting reverse, then if there is nothing in range no sound. If you have constant beeps then you have an issue.enuff_zed said:Scooba_Steve said:HU51A_FU said:My sanity is in jeopardy too with this annoying feature, i will see if carly says anything![]()

Ah, maybe we're at cross purposes then?
What I think we both want to do is get rid of the constant notification beep. If it just did a quick beep to say it was working, then only beeped as I got near things that would suit me.
It's the continual beeping all the time reverse is selected, even if in the middle of an empty car park, that does my head in.
JimRob said:I have exactly the same problem. Constant beep when put into reverse until parking sensors picks up object and you then get a different beep, if object moves then constant beep comes back! Can't code it out with Carly (unless I'm missing something). Have just put up with it..

Haro said:There is a PDC module you can access in NCS that has loads of variants to adjust, but it would be worth checking with INPA first that the sensors are all working correctly, they can tone continuously if one is dud and still beep when near obstacles.
HU51A_FU said:I mean parking sensors really aren't needed at the rear, you are basically sitting on the rear axle, unless you really are special when reverse parking I'm sure they aren't really necessary, what i find more necessary and needed would be front parking sensors. lol

In my case, and it seems some others, when reverse is selected it is not a constant tone, but a beep, beep, beep. This changes to a higher pitched and slightly faster beep when you get near something.
