PDC Question

On my E85, when I first got it, when engaging reverse, the PDC would beep once (to show it was active?) and then beep as expected as you approached an obstacle. After replacing the 2 sensors under warranty and recoding the car (The steering column was replaced with different electronics) it now makes continuous "bongs" in the style of a "you left the lights on" as soon as you engage reverse. I'm told this is just a coding option and they'll turn it off while checking the system (still a bit random about when it starts reporting an obstacle) but I'm wondering if anyone elses E85 or E86 does this "bong, bong, bong" as soon as you put it in reverse. Annoying simply isn't the word. None of my other BMW's or mini have done this.

My PDC only beeps once it detects an obstacle. There is no beep when first selecting reverse gear.

Hmm. Maybe it's a module a/w version. I assume they updated everything when they coded the car. It took about an hour and a half to do. The workshop guy said they tested it and all is ok but no option to code out the bong bong bong :|
