Pay it forward

I gave 4 tyres away on here a while ago , I didn't ask for anything in exchange apart from pick up or pay your own postage . I tried it on the z3 forum with a complete set of brand new lowering springs , free but pick up , I ended up binning them , I also offered a free trip in the passenger seat of my z3 m coupe to the ring and only 2 people enquired , it can be difficult to give things away sometimes !
 
I'll go first , 2 x 225 -40-18 Michelin pilot sport zr , 5mm to the wear bars . A mate bought these just over a year ago for £50 off e bay and had them delivered to my house , anyone here can have them for a donation to the forum as long as they are prepared to pick them up - organise collection and answer publicly just so everyone else on here knows who got them in case they appear back for sale , I think that's fair ?

I thought you would say that. I shall look into carriage charges. If anybody is travelling from Liverpool to south london let me know.
 
I've got a part worn contisport 17" tyre I bought off ebay (think I paid £25) and never used, free to a good home if someone wants to pick it up, just sat in a cupboard at my office, (in Huddersfield) supposedly legal tread on it was going to use it for my euro road trip and then replace both the fronts when I got back but the other one I got it to match was worse than I thought so ended up doing both tyres before I went away

I could arrange a courier for around a tenner if anyone wants it and is too far to pick it up....

I didn't think the pay it forward idea would work , as I said , it's difficult to give things away sometimes , I threw those tyres away at the weekend along with some barely used std brake pads as they were taking up space , seems a shame no one wanted them .
 
I do similar on another forum. Parts with little/ no value or are the sort of parts that get people through the IVA I just offer up. People pay for postage. If they feel they want to pay then they donate to a charity of their choice.

I feel that I have had more than enough help from the forum in the past and will do so in the future.
