Pay it forward

Since I got the 240Z I've become a member of another forum    sorry for the betrayal!

I've just come across a thread which really got me thinking, as above its called Pay It Forward, members offer parts for free to other forum members, they just pay the carriage, I was wondering if it could work here? there are rules to follow ....

1. You offer the item for free
2.recipient should be willing to pay the carriage although that's up to the seller.
3.recipient offers to 'pay it forward' at some point with another item in the future to another member.
4.dont abuse it, only take what you need, no hoarding, it's an honour system.
5.services may also be offered, cover costs, maybe fish n chip supper

In the end we feel good and help someone out

I think a few of us have done this or similar. I've sent some parts out and paid for postage. The recipient has made a small donation to the Forum. Slightly different but just as rewarding.

Cracking Steve  that's another way forward, happy days

Besides that, still got a whip arial to donate to the cause.

And some storage boxes for the centre console + Nokia phone cradles of about Noah's age.
And Orange side repeaters without the BMW emblems.

Love the idea- had some great help in this vain over the years!

If the Mods agree I think we should let this thread run and start a 'pay it Forward' thread at the weekend where members can add things they'd like to give away, once we've had a chance to check out what's in the garage!

I gave my whole car to Bing for postage charges

Piss off - it barely even had any fuel in it when I collected it !

That's because Royal Mail want the petrol tanks empty

Bastards disposed of £80 new laptop battery I sent out the other week :headbang:

I've got...

An auto gear knob
A squirrel chewed whippy
Two tweeters - working, but a clip missing on each
Four old style wheel centres that were on my postage-priced car when I got it - showing their age a bit
Part used rear brake pads for a 3.0si... Might have the fronts too, would probably last a track day maybe
... And probably a bunch of other stuff

Sounds like a trip to the local tip is needed :poke:

Yeah, possibly...

Though someone might have a busted tweeter speaker and want to fix it.... And the tyres are good, they just don't fit my car with the offsets up front.

I do have a couple of other things but I'm looking for a return on them

What Nokia is it for? That's all we get given at work

Brick models, 6310 and one of the slightly newer ones. I will have a look tomorrow but if your phone is any newer I won't have it ...
