Passive M Sport Suspension

I am getting a bit confused here, a friend of mine has ordered a E89 Z4 M Sport and deleted the M Sport suspension, he recons it is way to stiff and spoils the cars ride quality. First off I thought you could alter the damping as I can on my F10 5, the Z4 has the same comfort, sport, sport+ settings however I am informed this is passive not active so it only alters the steering and throtle.

I have the oportunity to delet the M Sport suspension before my order goes into production, I need some honest feed back from any E89 Z4 M Sport owners...

How do you find the suspension? Is it uncomfortable on all but a perfect surface?

I have been down the test drive route, the dealer only has a standard Z4, I have tried dealers around the area no one has an M Sport for me to try.

Cheers...Kevin.

I have the M Sport suspension, and it rides very well in normal and sport modes... Only in sport+ can you notice the stiffer suspension. It is like having the best of both worlds...

I've got the passive M-Sport suspension. It's absolutely fine. Much better that my old 3.0si coupe. A more compliant ride, but still 'sporty'.

- I would not delete it. - it's certainly not 'extreme'! :)

m sport suspension in europe at least is 10mm lower with different spring/damper setup. It is fixed (passive). You can as an option add Dynamic M Sport Suspension which builds on the passive m sport suspension and adapts to driving input and is stiffened by sport/sport+ settings (active).

+1

I think the adaptive suspension is a must have, to my mind the car only begins to drive like a sports car when you engage it, otherwise there's too much roll :driving:

Thanks folks...

I feel a bit better about it now reading real experiences, my wife will be using the car quite a bit and she would hate it if it was to firm...I'm fine with it just didn't want to spoil her experience.
