passenger window

Hello, The passenger window of my Z4 3ltr failed today. I took off the door skin and noticed a broken cable - feeds into a white bushing with a spring (in the middle of the door)... Ithink this is the cable that pulls the window down?

Question is - are there any schematics? Is this a DIY job or a bite the bullet and take to the dealer job? Can you replace just a cable? Any advice would be appreciated...

Window regulator? Mine failed a few months back £550.00 from Cooper BMW Sunderland. £230.00 prestige German Cars (Indy) in Newcastle. They used the OEM part which came from Cooper and so is guaranteed, Labour was a fraction of the price of the dealer. There are some posts on replacing it yourself, the part was over a hundred quid which I thought made it worth the cost of the Indy's labour. Good Luck

Better to introduce yourself than just dive into a forum asking for advice

DIY job to just replace the whole unit.
 
I'm getting mine done today as the bodyshop broke my drivers door. £130 inc vat for the bit. I'll get you the part number tonight.
