Passenger side 'leather squeak'

Really annoying - I get a leather sounding squeak / rattle from the passenger side on anything but perfact tarmac. Seems to be coming from the headrest area, but moving the seat fully forwards doesn't fix the problem. Thought it might be the wind deflector, so took that out, but no joy.
Any idea's or similar squeaks out there?
Thx
Jon

it may be the seat belt clip, pull it forward so it rests on the seat and is not dangling (ooo misses) for want of a better word, happens in mine and i just rest it on the seat

I had a similar annoying squeak, was coming from the plastic insert in the roll hoop on the passenger side being a little loose - a few people have had this IIRC...

Take a look, see if it's that. I know that once I found it, I was less irritated by it than when I had no idea where the noise was coming from!

Don't think it's the seat belt, although i can see where the headrest and seat belt guide could cause a squeak as they do rub.

Raised the headrest as high as it would go so that it was no longer touching the guide, but the squeak / rubbing continued.

Dev, I'll look for the insert in the hoop...did you fix it, or do you live with it?

Thx

Jon

Ok, it's not the seatbelt, nor the plastic insert (that the wind deflector slots into) on the roll bar.
Feels like it might actually be the plastic speaker grills behind the passenger seat.
Really frustrating as I can't reproduce the squeak when standing still :(

Could be the hood rubbing against the roll-hoop ? May be a bit high and back for any noise to be heard, but mine touch on both sides.

Had a leather squeak myself recently, then realised it is the leather pad I have on the seatbelt rubbing against the seat itself... Am a short-ar$e, so without one the seatbelt cuts into my neck wearing anything without a collar

Thanks Bing, difficult to tell, noise seems to go away with the roof down, but then you are effectively outside :D
