Passenger side headlight washer E85/6

My passenger side headlight washer appears to have given up the ghost tonight and has dumped the contents of the washer fluid bottle on my drive.

Before I brave the price of a new one, I was wondering if anyone had a spare one they’d sell.

If it is all still complete you might be able to seal it by replacing the rubber O rings.

It looks like it’s leaking from the jets. Bloody thing.

I had this problem and I bought several used washer units and all of them leaked, in the end I bought a new one from my local BMW dealer and it is sorted.. so all i would say is unless you get them VERY cheap second hand..just donlt bother.. get a new one.

Just my opinion.

Thanks. I don’t really want to spend loads on it because they’re tuned off. I think I’m going to cap the hose off at the water bottle somehow. Used ones on eBay are virtually tye same price as a new one.

Yeah, I did consider that, but as the car was new to me at the time I wanted it to be as intended, so i shelled out on one. After having the car for a while, I'm not sure I would do it again but I am glad that it is fixed and the car is "stock".

As mine seems to be leaking around a joint in the body of the washer towards the bottom, are we saying it’s possible to replace seals/O rings to fix this,

(For now I have just blocked off the feed pipe)

Cheers

IIRC there are a couple of indentations in the washer body that keep the jet inside it. If you can open these up you should be able to pull the jet out - it helps to have 3 hands! Then the jet has a couple of rubber O rings on it you can replace before shoving it back into the washer body.
