Passenger side floor mat and underneath soaked!

Hi there, i recently brought my E89 Z4 and one of my passengers noticed that the floor mat was soaked as was the underneath of it. As in if you press it with your finger you can see the water type soaked! Anyway i've checked the cowl i think its called you know where like leaves and things can get clogged but that's totally fine does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be or how to fix it?

There is another reason for water under the floor mats. Unfortunately we didn't find a simple solution.

Ich stelle eines Deiner Bilder gegen eins mit dem neuen, orangen Rahmen gegenüber: Krass! Das heißt, der obere Bereich vom Schlauch wird sehr stark zusammengestaucht. Und trotzdem habe ich diesen Spalt: Nee, im Gegenteil: Die beiden Komponenten fixieren sich leider nicht gegeneinander...

Never had the carpet wet there underneath, but when pulling back the carpet in past, foam had dirty rusty stain. I wondered where from and how.
It began where the kick plate presses down on the rubber door seal. I assumed some water got behind rubber and ran in. The seal to door frame is quite basic push on, make sure that is pushed fully on.
