I have a G29 M40i with electric sports seats, German edition, from October 2019.
The driver's seat has a backrest width adjustment, but the passenger seat doesn't. Is this the case for you? I think this is due to the presence of the ISOFIX child seat system. Prevously, I had a e89 sDrive 35is and both seats had this option.
Have you tried installing this option yourself on the passenger seat?
