Passenger seat removal, stuck fully forward?

The back/forward motor on my passenger seat has stopped working and the seat is stuck fully forward meaning that I have no acess to the front bolts to remove it. The motor doesn't click or do anything.

All other functions work and I've removed the side panel and tried to power the motor directly with the green/yellow and the purple/yellow wires but nothing happens.

Even with the seat fully raised access seems impossible, I can just about touch the motor but that's it! I can't even get to the shaft to try and turn it.

I'm almost at the stage of cutting the seat out or trying to drill the bolts out from underneath, or is this the only way? Many thanks and I hope someone can shed some light on the problem.

I've hopefully solved the problem. I removed the rear bolts, reclined the backrest and jacked up the rear of the seat so that it was bending on the front mountings and I could just squeeze a hand in and remove the motor. I connected the motor to 12v and it's knackered, it'll turn intermittantly so at least I know what the problem is and I should be able to squeeze in angain anfd fit a new one.
