Passenger seat belt jammed

On my project E85, I've only just realised that the passenger seatbelt is tight up against the seat and completely jammed.
Seeing as no-one has ever sat in that seat since I bought it, I don't know if this was an issue that has just appeared or not.

But...the seats were removed (and unplugged) last week without disconnecting the battery (yeah, I know...) - the resulting airbag light was cleared off by the garage and it has not returned. But I'm wondering if unplugging the seat leads could have fired off the pre-tensioner?

If the pre-tensioner fired then you would definitely know about it. Unless of course you weren't there and someone else was removing the seat.

A fired pretensioner sits about 2 inches lower down than an unfired one.

Thanks, Usel.
Yes, wasn't there unfortunately.
Just messaged the lad who removed the seats and he said no, definitely nothing untoward heard when he took them out. Hopefully just jammed!

If the seat isn't fully back then you may find moving it backwards will give enough slack for the inertia reel to release again.
