Passenger door won't unlock

My passenger door locks with the remote but won't unlock unless I pull on the interior handle. Does it only need lubrication and if so, is removing the door panel a simple operation?

Same problem for me - but oddly my problem is intermittent.

I don't think there is a concrete answer for this issue - could be anything from mechanical issue (actuator failure) to electrical and even ECU.

Seeing as it could potentially cost a lot to fix and doesn't cause a huge amount of inconvinience I've left it alone for now but I susepct I'll be taking it in to have it looked at at some point.

well, as I pull the inside door handle on that side, I feel that it's stiffer than it had been, so that tells me that it's mechanically related, not electroc control related. Will probably remove the panel to check when I store the car for winter in November. Wonder if the airbag sould be a concern in removing that panel though...
