Passenger airbag off warning

As per title, I noticed this warning (next to the courtesy light) tonight.
The selector on the outside of the glove compartment is switched to 'ON' and always has been in my 4 months of ownership.
I've tried switching on/off to no avail. Ive also attached a code reader but no codes whatsoever are recorded.
There are no other warning lights showing
Any advice greatly appreciated
I should add that it goes off after a few seconds - Embarrassingly this may be normal and I haven't noticed it before
Can anyone confirm?

Mine goes off after a few seconds, but rarely notice it. Some use up there.
I suppose out the way so that it's not constantly in your face, unlike the sport+ warning.
