Passanger window issue...help....

2005 z4 i2.5 here...

Passanger side window operates normally with the switch on the passanger side as it opens and closes fully.

BUT! The switch that controls the passanger window ON THE DRIVER SIDE will only close the passanger window and not open the damn window...

Please help!
 
Hi, Switch needs cleaning, wiring corroded or damaged, or switch is broken (one direction)?
Maybe trace the wiring and get a multimeter on it.

Its weird because the window closes whether I pull up or down the switch...passanger window closes either way....is something wrong with the wiring?
 
Maybe the wiring, maybe the driver switch, maybe even a fuse... As I have never had the actual problem I am summising based on on the fact the the signal to operate the door is sent from the switch through the wire, through a fuse, through a do hickey magic signal decoder box thingy to the window motor... Maybe 🙂
 
Mine was the same - I had to do the reset procedure on both drivers door switches at the same time. Odd I know but it didn't reset when I did it on just the passenger side. HTH

so do the reset procedure for the driver side switches (2) at the same time? Problem with this is that driver side switch that controls the passenger window does not open only closes so how do I do the reset procedure?...
