enjoy your honeymoon but dont follow stuarts directions for padstow , if you go SOUTH from newquay, you will end up in the middle of a clay pit !!!

To answer the OP's question though my wife has never driven any of my cars in the 17 years we've been together, alothugh she has been insured on and off to reduce the cost.

My girl is on the insurance and has driven it once but she doesn't like driving it. She prefers driving Dennis the Yaris!

We don't like getting hot, sat on beach all day anyway so not too bothered about weather, would like a few sunny days on the beach though!
Good Choice, I know Carne, that beach very well. It was my local beach when I was young. Also launched my boat from there a few times as well.
Sometimes I go into that hotel for lunch when I see family at home. I take my Nanna there as he used to stay there many moons ago with my Grandad. It's very nice place. I'm sure you will have a great time! The coast along that part is very nice, and worth exploring. If you head south down the coast, you will head towards St Mawes and can cross the estuary on the King Harry Ferry to get over towards Falmouth. Some great roads too! Enjoy

I can recommend Watergate bay. Lovely beach and there is a great cafe/restuarant with views out over the sea called the beach hut cafe.
Its underneath Jamie Oliver's fifteen restuarant and, in my opinion, much better. If you can get a table that covers sunset the view is amazing.
My other half drove the 3l without flinching, but I am yet to let her loose in the M, but as we are supposed to heading around Italy and France in a couple of weeks, so I'm going to have to let her step up to the plate. I trust her though. Now and again the passenger seat can be a relaxing place.
