The battery box on the z4M is held on with 3 strange screws at the bottom.
These have an 8mm hexagonal head with a Phillips type cross-slot in the middle, and are made of plastic. (Because of the plastic, many people try to remove them using a screwdriver rather than an 8mm socket, and strip the centre slot). You can see them at about 50 seconds into this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHIfb0CW7cE.
Despite spending a lot of time looking at the on-line parts diagram at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/, and 2 trips to my local dealers (where I dealt with 2 different people in the parts department, and spend ages looking on their system), I have been unable to get a part number for these screws in order to buy replacements.
Does anybody on Z4-forum know what the part number is?
