Part help

Hey all

Need part 13547514867 - air flow rubber intake hose. Unbelievably BMW have told me back order(August). Its a simple rubber intake hose.

Any ideas if I could get pattern part.

My experience with Sytner is they always say they have stuff in stock, then a week later admit they haven't.

I've tried a few places to get one lately and ended up getting one from Vilnius. But even they are now out of stock!
Given how common a failure they are, I hope BMW make another batch!

Phoned Synter.....same as BMW say. Back order until August. A simple part like this. None anywhere.....looks like you can't even get a pattern part either.

What tape should I use to cover up the splits?

Phoned Synter.....same as BMW say. Back order until August. A simple part like this. None anywhere.....looks like you can't even get a pattern part either.

What tape should I use to cover up the splits?

I assume you have a 3.0i then? Or a 2.2/2.5 that someone modified to include the sound generator?
You could buy a non-sound generator version and temporarily remove the generator bits..
Then when the correct one comes into stock you can recoup some of your outlay with the hardly used one.

Yes...3.0i. Not what you mean by removing Generator bit....its just the intake pipe I need.

I think have have managed to get one from the states.....60 dollars delivered.

I will update if/when it arrives incase anyone else needs the same part.

Yes...3.0i. Not what you mean by removing Generator bit....its just the intake pipe I need.

Because, if you look at the link I sent you, the ones without the sound generator don't have the big hole in the side, and are cheaply available. So I suggested it as an interim fix.
