Hi everyone,

Having issues with the folding top on my 2004 E85.
Anybody knows what is the name of that cable and what it does? Part number? The part on the left is Drive, locking mechanism 54347043869

The drives are handed left and right. They transmit the drive from the motor to the locking claws to move them in and out.
Whilst you have it apart it may be worth changing both.
Where are you? There are a few of us around the UK who fix roof issues and I suspect we all have a few of these tucked away.

It is a flexible drive shaft. Connects to the motor and to the unlocking hooks.
Part number 14.
