Long story short, I am being given a Parrot system for free, Dunno what model ,
Is it a possibility to have it connected to the head unit so the Info appears on that so I dont have to have the little Parrot display thingy attached to my dash

Do you need it to connect to your head unit? Surely it will just sit on your shoulder, squawk and say things like "who's a pretty boy then"?!?

All depends,

If it is a Norwiegan Blue then I think you might find it unresponsive and not very communicative  .

Perhaps an Apple, Blackberry with Orange may prove more useful.

Other than that thinking of the KCE 400BT for mine.

And yes I ahve been drinking :D

You can can them to talk to the MFSW but I'm not aware of them displaying info on the head unit.

thanks Paddy and Shrutch (btw I dont have MFSW) just trying not to have something stuck to the dash.

As for the Jimmy, Richard & Dr Nick

have you seen the brodit holder? it clips on the dash to the left of the radio, no drilling or anything, no bad in my opinion

I haven't Taz, I have no massive objections to having the display unit but if I can avoid it and keep the dash as OEM as possible then all the better I think. just my opinion though.

When I had a parrot ck3100 in my 1 series, I fitted the display unit in the ash tray. When the lid was closed you'd never know it was there. Worked through the mfsw also so looked and operated as near to OEM as possible. :)

Yeah I'm in process of installing a Parrot and will be fitting to the ash tray - seems a few have fitted the ck3100 variant there.

I have one of those brodit mounts. As above would rather not have it, but as it doesn't damage anything not a real problem.

I ran the cables through the panel under the ac controls so again do damage.

if the parrot is not on display how do you know who you are calling?
