my car has front and rear (not got it yet) are the front ones only activated AFTER you put the car into reverse??
dealer told me the button on the radio console was to tuen them off if you are in traffic....Mate with an X6 showed me his front ones are only activated either after the car has been put into reverse OR if you press the button (the one the dealer told me switches them off) to activate them......like if you are driving forwards into a parking space.

same on the Z4?

You just press the button and it activates them. They go off automatically as you drive away over about 10mph I think

No, the button doesn't turn them off because they are permanently on. It turns them on if you want them on or off if you don't after putting the car into reverse, as KerryLee says they come on automatically when the car is in reverse then they auto off.

thanks guys, proves how much dealers know doesnt it...they told me they come on when you get into traffic so you can turn them off....lol...hopefully just another day or two to wait....friday at the latest i hope

Yep, they work exactly the same as your mates x6. All automatic if you engage reverse and cancel once you drive off. Button can turn them on and off.

well....to be fair it was bowkers backburn that told me that...but after shopping around a bit i went for another car from williams warrington and i didnt really discuss it with them!!!
