Parking sensors

I have just bought a sensor kit for a different car I just bought. Works with an antenna strip inside the bumper, so no holes.
Works off the reverse light, only 2 wires to connect.

Already bought / installed the keyless remote entry as well, and that did exactly what it said on the box so does not seem to be a bad company.

It is a continuos sensor area across the entire inside of the bumper. The fitting is 2 connectors - one to earth, one to the power of the reverse light circuit.
For the front, it would work but you would have to manually switch the power on to get them activated though.
I have not fitted it inside the bumper yet, only tested the system as it is too cold to get the bumper off at the moment

I reckon you could make a simple timer to control the fronts. Use the power from the reversing light to activate it and then leave it active for say 2 minutes.
That would be not unlike the other BM's where you engage reverse first to set the system. The only difference is they switch off at a certain speed rather than time.
Of course you could have a manual push button override so you could park in straight forward.

I could never get it to work consistently; sometimes it would beep like crazy four feet away, others 6 inches and in most cases, not at all. I threw it in the bin. oke:I fitted the strip sensors front and rear last year to my Z4. Honestly, I found them to be less effective than the factory fit ultrasonic type.
False alarms more common, especially in the wet. You also have to be moving to trigger an alert which if you are about to mangle your bumper on a concrete post is a high risk reversing strategy.
Saying that, they do give some extra comfort provided you don't get blase about the false alerts. I prefer the discreet look as well. When reversing I still leave yards too much space, still cannot grasp concept I am sitting on top of reat wheels.
