Parking sensors seem to work even when going forward

I noticed today when I was creaking along in traffic that whenever someone came behind the car the parking sensors went off. Now I know that is better than them not working at all but it is not normal. Has anyone had anything similar? Is there anything I can do about it other than take it to the stealer?

yeah, don't get near your car with a key - for DD you only need to be near.

Know what you mean about being near the car, seen someone arrested for drunk in charge of a vehicle, even though the keys were not in the car.
