Parking Sensors constantly beep

I’ve sorted out my engine so on to the Parking Sensors, every time I put the Z into reverse I get a constant beep, if I pop it in and out of gear sometimes it goes away but it’s real hit and miss. If anyone has any ideas on what’s wrong or how to fault find I would be grateful.

One or more of the parking sensors will be faulty. Switch on the ignition (don't start the car) and put it into reverse. Then get out and put your ear right up to each sensor in turn. You should be able to hear a faint clicking sound from each good sensor. If you can't then you need to change the sensor (rear bumper removal).

Perfect , thanks, yep the o/s sensor is intermittent when I listen to it.
Now I just need to work out how to take the bumper off.

Be aware that fixing/replacing the sensor may or may not solve your issue; my car does the same, I've checked all my sensors and they are fine. The control box for the PDC unit is known to go bad, and it's an expensive part to replace. You'll find the control unit tucked behind one of the side panels in the boot.

It's behind the off side carpet panel where the emergency pull for the fuel flap is located

Brilliant , I’ll have a look at it now , thanks.

I'm not sure just looking at it will help  If you have all the sensors ticking apart from one then I think you know all you need to know.

:D exactly, I’ve already got the new sensor on order, will let you know how the replacement goes. Cheers.
