A couple of years ago the nearside rear parking sensor stopped working. Checking with my finger there was no vibration compared to the other 3. I bought a replacement from ebay but it didn't work either but did vibrate. It's replacement worked fine.
A couple of weeks ago it started playing up again and so I ordered another from Ebay <£9. It vibrated but didn't work
By now I have 4 sensors, the oem one and 3 ebay ones. I tried them in position 2 ( next to the nearside one) and the ebay ones all worked. The oem one still didn't work and so that went in the bin to save confusion.
So, I put the oem one in position 1 and the painted ebay one that was in position 1 in position 2 ( if you are still with me

All working again.
The intravee display is very useful for checking the sensors.
So, my thoughts are that the ebay ones are borderline spec wise and position 1 being at the end of the sensor loom exacerbates this?
