Parking Sensor Mod

Hi Everyone

Took delivery of my first Zed about a month ago.

The car was good value and well looked after (Previous owner had only driven 11k in 6 years). However he was honest enough to tell me some warning lights had come up but he wasnt sure what they were, so took it for a diagnostic at my local Indy and it was the common problem of the DSC pressure sensors so that was replaced straight away.

The other mod was the re-locating of the roof motor. This was carried out within 45 mins by Dave up in Durham

Now onto the purpose of this post: Despite the original owner having spent over 6k on optional extras, the car has no Parking Sensors :(
As i usually reverse park into a space, im worried about reversing too far and bumping the rear end, doesnt help with the wife being paranoid when im still miles away from anything! :headbang:

So i would just like to know if any owners have had after market sensors fitted on their Zeds and share their experiences? Im thinking about a basic system with an audiable bleep just to warn me how close the rear is from the back, doesnt have to be anything fancy with cameras or fancy graphics.

Thanks for your views.

If you are fussy, then I suggest the starting point would be a second hand bumper.
Aftermarket sensors look wrong.
This one includes the sensors. No affiliation. :)

Thanks Rialas.

Had a look at the ebay links but it seems most would need either a respray or bodywork repairs :(

Theres a local guy in my area who quoted me £225 for 4 Laserline flush sensors painted to my Zeds colour supplied & fitted.

Gonna go with that as the wifes not used to parking without guidance and for the price, one bump will prob cost more to repair!

Ok. Check to see which ones he's fitting, preferably ones that look oem. Good luck.
