I noticed that the red light on the electric parking brake switch stays on after shutting off car. It goes out if I lock the car with the remote. Is this normal? Seems like it would be a potential battery drain after some time.
 
Sound normal to me, how long have you left it unlocked for, not sure if the light will go out when the car hibernates, the battery monitor probably shuts systems down if the battery voltage drops low and it’s only a small LED so the battery drain would be minuscule.
