Parking Assist

Not that I think I might ever use it [cough]...

My z4 equipment is listed to include S05DM - Parking Assistance System
Its also there in my iDrive menu and is enabled with a little tick.

Problem is, I have no idea how to activate it and a quick google seems to suggest I should have this button down beside the gear shift -

I dont have that button.

Any clues?
 
It is on the main screen when the camera is active and can be selected from there. Mine doesn't have a button either. That must be another model and not the G29 as neither of mine have ever had a button like that.
 
I don’t know, never looked for it.

It’s a leap of faith too far for me, I can’t trust my pride and joy to automation. I do appreciate the reverse view camera that comes with parking assist though.
 
I have the button but not the park assist - At least I don't think I have it????
 
No button as above image from OP.
If the setting is turned on (I forget where but you can tick or untick it when the reversing camera/sensor screen is active)
Then the button pops up once reverse is engaged after driving past spaces at low speeds (I want to say <20kph but I forget)

Then just select the P space and it does the magic! Used it a few times as a gimmick / at home
