Has anyone read the Parkers guide review for the Z4M,if you actually took on board all their expert advice you would never even consider buying one,and what exactly is "M related specialist servicing"?
 
Drive one. Everyone has different opinions, as for tame compared to other M models they couldn't really be any more wrong. The 0-60 time is more like 4.7 as confirmed by BMWCar magazine, the ride is hard and the clutch and steering is heavy but all M cars are. Ive driven the E46 M3 E92 M3 and own the Z4M I have to say the experience is very different but I would say the Z4M is the most fun. These cars are for very specific people thats why reviewers were not very warm toward them. As for servicing its more expensive but wont break the bank, and is quite frugal if you drive it nicely you can see 30mpg, drive it hard and you see lower 20s but mine over the last 1000 miles has recorded 26.6 ive only had the car 3 weeks and love it. Its definetly one of those make your own judgement cars.

Sounds like the reviewer didn't like the car from the off anyway. Have a look at EVO or BMWCar, better reviews.

Actually no..that was a long time ago pulling into a parking spot forwards and misjudging the length of the front. Multi storeys combine my fear of bashing the front in those narrow curvey bits which I struggle to judge with the fear of a hillstart on them :o
 
Just spent half an hour writing a review on there. Then presumably I pressed the wrong button cos I lost the lot. :headbang:

May be next time I'm bored.
 
Yeah I read the review. It's written by someone who drives a normal car and who would use a Z4MC as a daily. Which most of us don't.

The owners reviews offer a much better read :thumbsup:
 
Ask the owner of a 3 series saloon what they think of a Z4M - and they'd probably write a similar review....

Surely with the cars hill assist hill starts are a thing of the past?

I had a hire car in ireland last week... Some basic astra... No hill assist... Totally forgot the car can roll back :headbang:
