Yep - looks like the clips are broken or the bumper became unhooked - I understand it can happen if the bumper gets caught reversing off a kerb or something similar.
Hit the lower part of the bumper just in front of the lips and if you hear something rattling around then the clips are broken and fallen down.
As long as the mount moulded into the bumper is intact then it should be straight forward - undo the screws on top and underneath then a jiggle to lift it off. Plenty of videos on Youtube

This would be the easiest solution if nothing is broken.
But for me it didn't work. Gap remained too big. Decided to wait for warmer weather in the hope the bumper would be more flexible. Then I am going to try again by detaching the bumper from the retaining brackets -> moving up the brackets -> attach the bumper to the brackets
I dont think the gap has to be very small since the gap between the bonnet en front panel isn't very small eather
