Pairing a Nokia E71 with bluetooth

Anyone managed to pair the same phone or know whether you can pair this phone with bluetooth ?.

I'm managed to get the Z4 into Pairing mode, but its just won't see my Nokia E71, and yes I have turned the bluetooh on my nokia.

I'm off to le-man next week and would be good to get my phone paired up if I can so appreciate feedback.

I once had real problems trying to pair a nokia with the zed, stangely after many attempts, i found that if i switched the blue tooth off and on again on the phone, it paired instantly, i also noticed that i had to re- pair it everytime i connected the phone to any other blue tooth!

Get the car in pairing mode.
On the E71, go to the bluetooth menu.
Then go one screen to the right, to "Paired Devices".
Click "Options" (left bottom of screen).
Select "New paired device".
If no devices appear, or if your Z is not listed there, select "More devices".
The phone now searches for devices and will display the last part of your Z's VIN number.
Select it and when prompted, enter the 4 digit PIN [that appears in your Z owner's manual phone addendum (a loose, hard page in mine)] on the phone.
On the E71, say "yes" when asked whether to set the device as authorised to connect automatically.
Done. The car will give an audible signal that it has paired with the phone.
Switch off the ignition.
Let me know if this does not work, I will do a test run here.

Thanks for the above, I've managed to get to the point where I have put the Zed in Pairing mode and shows so on my pop up screen, and have also managed to navigate through my Nokia to get it to see the Zed and has accepted my 4 digit code. But the zed just seems to sit there still saying in 'Pairing mode' and won't go past this and see the phone.

Mine is a 2003 Zed if thats makes any difference.

I'll have another go a bit later. But basically the E71 can see the Zed but the Zed can't see the E71 :(

It should switch to "pairing successful" after a while. I had all sorts of pain with mine.

All good now though, even got my partners pre historic Nokia sorted 8) .
