Paintless dent removal: Are rear quarters double-skinned?

Afternoon all

I have a tiny door ding on my o/s rear wheel arch of my Coupe and would like to get it removed.

Does anyone know if the rear quarter panels/wing above the rear wheel is single or double-skinned?

My PDR man wants to know to accurately price the job.

Any info appreciated

pdr man should know that
anyway have a look here at my dent on the rear wheel arch got it sorted no prob, they are not double skinned where my dent was as i put a screwdriver in the gap where the arch liner is and had a feel about before i called dent man, and he didnt ask anyway

yido mate, that is awesome! I'm in north London (Spurs supporter too, natch!) so the guy you used could be an option too...

I contacted Dentman earlier today, but the guy you used looks like he knows his stuff too as he did a great job on your wing.

Dentman was the one who suggested it might be single-skinned and asked me to root around to check myself, but I thought I'd ask the question here.

Appreciate the feedback, glad to know I can get the dent out with no major issues!

Didn't realise we had some Tottenham boys on here. We could have our own "Harry Redknaps Blue and White Army" North London Meet. :-)

jimbo im in enfield ill give you a toot if i see you got a 03 3.0 sterling grey with hartdop and elips and aero front bumper(usually with a fair bit of bird s**t on it due to me parking under a tree) its either that or door dings from the neighbours

I pretty sure its single skinned if the work I had on my roadster the other week is relevant. You can see it in this post.

Got any pics of where it is?

Hope this helps

Thanks for the help guys; forgot to check the realoem site so thanks for that avolkov

Gargybloke, wow that was some dent, great that it came out so well!

Mine is nowhere near that bad, it's a tiny ding just in the crease of the arch but I'm cursed with a keen attention to detail and it winds me up as it catches my eye when the car is nice and clean:

I seriously hate door dings and try and avoid car parks as much as I can!

I have similar in mine, really need to get it done at some point. Even if it is double skinned and not accessible from behind, there are still ways to fix it.

Just a quick update: Jake at F1 dents came over this morning and sorted the ding in the rear arch, three faint ones in the drivers door and one low down on the nearside front wing. He's a nice guy, got loads of experience and sorted all of the dents perfectly. Thought his prices were very good too

Thanks for the recommendation again yido – turns out a few of my car-trader mates use this guy too, so he's highly recommended!

My mate reckons it now needs lowering and 12mm spacers up front though :o

Very nice, loving the wheels.

I took out a pot plant coming into my driveway last night, booked in with Chipsaway Shrewsbury for a few days next week to sort all minor scrapes & scuffs / alloys - until next time!
