Painting Cost, what do you think?

Just got my quote from 2-professional painters in NC. The cost to replace my stock bumper with the BMW Aero bumper from removal to paint/install was 1200.00 from both of these paint shops! That again is the Aero bumper, I guess that is the going rate since I got 2-quotes--

The side skirts will just have to wait! If you have photo of your Aero bumper on your Z4, I would love to see them!!!!!!!!!! :D
Do you think my 03 will look good with just the front Aero bumper???

Is that supply the bumper cover too??

I had mine sprayed up to a really high standard and the rate he would have charged anyone else would have been £170 ($350 approx.)

Removal and refit is a total 1 hour job to do yourself.

All seems very expensive and sounds like typical insurance job quotes.

End result should look good
 
Agree, this cost way too high. I spent a little over $400 for a strip/refinish/paint of my rock chipped Aero bumper. This was an existing bumper cover so add in the cost of a new one. Even with installation this seems high. btw, join BMW CCA (google for the link) and you should get a 10 to 15 discount for parts (some even give a discount on labor) with your confirmed membership. Where do you live and what dealer are you going to?
