Painting Brake Calipers

Has anyone had the courage to paint their calipers in BMW blue? I'm typically in favor of stylistic integrity, but I'm concerned that the blue calipers might be a bit too "matchy-matchy". If the previous doesn't provide sufficient fodder for criticism, I should mention that my second color choice is yellow. Thanks for any comments!!

Did mine n metallic blue but might redo them in this blue or slightly darker to match the BMW roundels.

Well, gentlemen, thanks for convincing me. BMW blue it is!!
markplant, I think that the blue works particularly well with your body color. Many I ask where you sourced the paint and paint color?
Thanks, all!!

It's just hamerite high temp

Just redone mine, I had done a light blue last year, wasn't so good, I redone them for Zedfest in the darker blue from Halfords, which I'd say is a "Brembo" blue, much better, gave a nice smooth finish.

Tell you what, rally-chris those alloys do wonders to the look of the Zed!

Tom, you rascal, it appears that you've added an accent color to the calipers. Stop raising the bar!! Do you recall the actual name of the paint from Foliatec? Thank you, sir!!

I think they look best when painted to match a detail on the car. For instance I have a red interior so red calipers look really good.

it was brush on (much better for the slides etc) and it was foilatec’s ‘Rs Blue’.

The pads are only yellow as they are ebc yellow stuff pads. They are a great upgrade so if your scheme is blue and yellow they’ll tick all boxes :)

Emailed Foliatec. Their GT-Blue is a close match for the standard RAL-5015 color, which is, in turn a close match for our beloved BMW blue. Need to figure out how to get a kit to the states.

Just had a full breakdown and rebuild of my calipers and painted Montego blue with M decals applied. They turned out great! I’ll put up a separate thread but from what my calipers came from to this, Im very pleased!

Ps Ignore the incorrect disc rotation, this was corrected.
