Painted my calipers today

I'm fairly certain there was a thread on here a while back where a trader had a Z4M for sale and had sprayed the whole caliper/pad/anything and everything and everyone was hounding him for it.

Was that not "Bluestreak"s refurbed 108s thread where he asked the company to paint his calipers red before refitting the alloys :?
They must have masked the car body & glass before going at the task with a spray gun :D

I did mine red and my car is black with red leather.
Yours look well but I think if my car was red then I think blue would have looked well

Is that a call for Marlon to hold a second referendum :chairfight:

I've been through all the colours - even photoshopped them to help me decide. I had my 'blue phase', and then they were definitely going to be yellow (I even bought the paint). Then lost my nerve and thought silver, but eventually settled on matching the bodywork. I think blue or yellow would have worked, but eventually I went for red for a more subtle look as they blend in with the car. I would't rule out changing the colour in the future though

Great idea!

You can see how you get on with red and still have the option to change to something else.

At the end of the day you have to please yourself - it's your car! :P

Hey Mr Tidy get your quotes sorted Marlon said it and I don't want to steal his thunder! :poke:

Anyway I'm for originality, strictly an OEM silver man........ but I obviously support Marlons right to come out with 'red' calipers. I also like calipers of all colours, or none and even have friends with coloured calipers

My rookie mistake now rectified :)

(thanks for the solution mr wilks  )

Did you round off those wheel bolts with a non 90 degree angle tool?

Looking better - now just get that clip in chrome :poke:

How about red one side and blue the other :P

it makes me really sad for a supposed 'community' the amount of 'nit picking' that goes on here, This thread and the wheel brace one being prime examples.

It makes you think, why would anyone bother posting up what they've been up to, or doing a little DIY guide , if evertime they do, they get shot down in flames? Some people really need to have a word with themselves & think before opening their keyboard mouth if they've nothing constructive or pleasant to say. Its easy to knock something, or even give someone some friendly advice, but the way somethings are written on here dont half look patronising or condescending
What an unbelievable chump you are.
You firstly have a go at a mod (who takes a hell of a lor more time than you do to make this site what it is) for his apparent 'attitude' issue, where in actual fact he was only being helpful in suggesting the correct way to do the job.
You then actually go and do the job how everyone who has an ounce of sense suggests you should do it.
Take your 'DIYS' and opinions off to those other sites that love you so much pal if you get so offended when someone calls your BS.
Unbelievable!
