Painted my aero bumper.

Finally got my aero bumper painted today..

Discovered it had a few prev repairs that reacted with the 2k primer, so had to get brutal with it.

Currently sunning itself under the drying lamp after 3 coats of base and around 4 of clear, plenty for me to polish..

Looks like a great paint job - I'm assuming then that changing the Zed's colour is now off the agenda for a while?

Yes, the vat man took my respray fund!

Bumper in the van for the clear coat to cure overnight as been welding in the garage. I'm quite pleased with the result, considering I've not had my hands on a spray Gunn for about 30 years, and back then it was all single stage cellulose. Now it's primer with a hardener and special thinners, base coat with another thinners and then clear coat with yet another hardener and thinners...

Looks a lot better today after I wet sanded the hell out of the lacquer with 1500 & 3000, just need to polish it tomorrow and get it on!

Good work on that! Looking forward to final result. Hopefully the colour blends in perfectly!
