Painted front lights

Hi,

I was bored on saturday so decided to give one of the front lights a light coat of silver to see what it would liike like just across the orange indicator. It actually looked really good from the front but It was obvious it was paint. I quickly decided against it and wiped it off with white spirit. But i thought i'd show you all anyway.

You can achieve a similar looking result with the mirror tint film, which looks ok with silver inner headlights. I tried it and the indicator shines through fine. Making it look really oem isn't easy though, so i took the film of.

Shame on me indeed! It definately gave it a chavy (spelling??) look.

I can assure you it was never going to stay on there, I was curious to see if the light still shone through aswell and it was fine

In farness, it looks pretty alright - but as you said it was a paint -job!

not sure about seeing it in person, but from the pictures it looks really good.

Dreamer, the mirror tint film... does that look good? do you have any pics? what's the best place to get them?

Just kidding - its just i remember painting the headlights of my very first motor (many years ago!) with a yellow tint that I thought, for some reason that escapes me now(!), was really cool.
