Painted Calipers

Decided I'm gonna paint my calipers red and the bars behind the grill. 😬 Should make the purists heads explode. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️
Wifey insisted on bright yellow smoothrite on her Sterling Grey one.
Oh, and the engine bay strut braces too.

Obviously as the man of the house you put your foot down and told her in no uncertain terms that just was not going to happen whilst you were in charge.

What shade of yellow did you go for?

Nope, I said do what you like but you're still not eating in my E89.

Think Smoothrite only does 'kin bright yellow. :D

I'd say go for it.

My car already had red calipers and bars behind the grilles - I really like them.

I did the bar behind the grilles over the weekend. Took the left hand grille out and unscrewed the 4 torx bolts. Fiddly as feck!

Also opened the 4 boxes sitting in the shed containing the big brakes kit. Luckily I can get them sanded/ painted before they go on the car 👍

Best of luck! 😃

Done mine red last month

It really is so much easier to do when you have the bumper off.

Take both grilles out and it's easy mcpeasy.
