Paint marker

Does anyone know where I can get a marker pen that is safe to use on the paintwork. I need to identify some faults in the paint work and don't want any problems removing it.

Thanks in advance

Not sure, I have been told about one specifically for automotive paint but can't find a local supplier.
Keep trying I guess.

I should have said, it's a crayon type pencil, which can be applied very easily. Should come off the clear laquer easily.

Sounds like you're describing the same thing I posted. It has various uses, but one of them is to mark non-porous surfaces and to come off those same surfaces when you need it too - whether it be glass, plastic, metal, paint, etc.

OP, I have a white pencil which I don't need. The white eyeliner was all the rage in the 90s. I will post FOC if you want it. PM your address if you wish. Will sharpen for you too.
