Paint Flake : Alloy Wheels

Guys,

Have watched my two rears get messed up by the monkeys at Kwik-Fit whilst fitting new tyres (Crow bars really required ? ), closer inspection has revealed an alarming amount of paint missing on a couple of spokes. The wheels are off to get the edges fixed soon but before that Im wandering if I have a warranty case with BMW regarding the paint ? Car is '07 new in March. I HAVE been using aftermarket cleaners ( I know !!) but I've never left the stuff on very long....saying that I have been using the stuff weekly to keep her clean!

Throw in your 2 cents by all means - Have I got a case for replacement / repair under warranty or shall I just fork out a little more when the edges are touched up by 3rd party?

Hate having tyres fitted, you just know some monkey will screw it up, no matter what you say when you take the car in.

I did manage to get a set of four replaced on my last 3 series, the paint had started to blister on most of the spokes, but only on one edge, the edge that was being forced into oncoming air/crap etc. Because of this the dealer couldnt and didnt argue, car was around 2.5 years old at time.

ali_b, Sytner Solihull replaced all four wheels on my roadster due to corrosion. I think I had a week or so left on the warranty so you shouldn't have any problems. I'd maybe neglect to tell them about your cleaning methods in case they try and use it against you.
