Paint code location

Hi,
Forgive my ignorance, as I am new at this owning an E86. But could anyone tell me where I can find the Paint code. I did just have a quick look around the vehicle in the rain, but couldn't find it. I just have one or two blemishes I need to try and hide.

Hi Paul, if you open the bonnet and look at the driver's side inner wing there should be a plate that includes the paint colour in German!

My Silver Grey one says "Silber-Grau". Or you could use a VIN decoder that may include the paint code (mine is AO8).
 
Thanks mister tidy, I saw the vin number on the suspension turret, but didn't see the paint code. I will have a look again in the light.
