I'm looking to get a 'proper' respray on the front end to clear about 30 stone chips :thumbsdown: I doubt a SMART repair or DIY is going to do the job effectively. Can anyone recommend a good one in the MK area?

A decent Smart Repairer will be able to do this for you .I am a Smart Repairer and I painted my Z4 titanium silver front bumper a couple of weeks ago,lots of chips and a scuff now gone :thumbsup:

Hi Lynchy thanks for replying. What's the ball park figure for that ? I emailed a local Smart Repair person with pics just to test the water, after viewing the pics he quoted me £520 + vat for the front bumper, wing mirrors and a skirt. He said he would need to refurb the whole parts and it would take 2-3 days.
 
That's body shop prices and body shop time,weather like today I'd have that done in a day
 
Yeah it seemed like I might as well get it done at a bodyshop for that money. These are the pictures, lots of chips and blemishes unfortunately. That's in just two years of driving and 8000 miles, although about half that motorway :cry:






 
Being a black car shows up even more,mine being silver less noticeable.You could try touching in chips ,won't look new but will look a lot less noticeable
 
Yep black shows up everything. It looks worse in the pictures than in real life, but been bugging me ever since I gave her the Spring deep clean.
 
Shame your not closer,before spending loads of money try touching in first.If money isn't an issue get those bits painted.
