Paint and lacquer question

Hi

The cover for the headlight washer on the front of my car has vanished so I bought a replacement. this comes just with the primer on it so have bought a paint and lacquer set from BMW in order to finish it off. How long though do I need to leave between applying the paint and the lacquer? Also, I presume one coat of the paint is ok?

Should take a few light coats of paint (2-3) and wait 24 hours before applying clearcoat.

I'd agree...this water-based nonsense takes longer to go off completely than good old-fashioned paint.
