I'm having a problem with water soaking the driver & passenger footwells and my main dealer can't figure it out so I thought I'd ask the experts!
I think I've narrowed the problem down, but just don't know how to fix it:
The water is clear when I soak it up (so it's probably not from a leaky heater core). I've left the car out and driven it in torrential rain recently and everything stayed dry as long as I didn't use the aircon. As soon as I used the aircon on any journey over 30 mins, the water reappeared.
When I park up after using the aircon, I do get a wet patch underneath the car, but (from what I can remember) much smaller than it used to be.
So do you guys agree that it may be blocked aircon drain(s) and if so has anybody got suggestions as to how I can get them unblocked? I can't even figure out how to get to the part of the aircon unit that causes the condensation!
If it needs ramps etc. I can take it to my dealer to do the work, but would like to be able to direct them to what they should look at so that it keeps the bill as small as possible.
Thanks in advance.
